Sabudana (Sago) porridge

Sabudana primarily does not have the significant amount of vitamin or minerals but is full of starch which is a carbohydrate and it functions as a staple food for the body.

 Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon Sabudana
  • 1 pinch elachi powder (if desired)
  • 1 pinch almond powder.

How to make Sabudana Porridge

It is important to wash the sabudana in running water until the water is clear.  Soak it for a couple of hours or overnight even, if your child is very young.

Cook the soaked sabudana in boiling water  or milk until it turns translucent.  Serve it for your little one by garnishing it elachi and almond powder for added flavor.

To sweeten it, you can add any seasonal fruit like mango, apple or banana.
